| Largest collection of Worcester Porcelain See the prototype of the smallest vase ever made at Worcester. Made for Queen Mary's Dolls House and measures only 3cm high. The Worcester Porcelain Museum houses the world's largest collection of Worcester Porcelain. The Museum cares for over 10,000 objects made between 1751 and the present day. See the Royal Worcester porcelain wagon, that would have been piled high with grapes and ribbons attached to each side so that the guests could pull it from one end of the dining table to the other. See the works of Thomas Bott who would lick the end of his paint brush to obtain a fine point, unfortunately he died at the age of 41 because the white enamels he used contained large quantities of arsenic. |
See 13 Counties in One Day A glorious Gothic folly, Broadway Tower is one of England’s outstanding viewpoints and, at 1024 feet (312m) above sea level, it is the second highest point on the Cotswold Ridge. The roof viewing platform gives you views of the Vales of Evesham and Gloucester and on a clear day you may also see across the Severn Valley and as far as the Welsh Mountains. The park in which the tower sits, caters for the interests of any age group, from the red deer to the magnificent architecture of the Tower, beautiful nature walks and restaurant. |
