Sail Derwent Water
If you want to explore Derwent Water, there are canoes, kayaks, sailing dinghys, windsurfers and rowing boats for hire at Derwent Water Marina. Derwent Water is a great lake to explore by boat, there are Islands to picnic on and the views are fantastic. Tuition for all water activities is available and also guided trips around the lake can be arranged. Derwent Water is located in the Lake District National Park in the north of England, near the Cumbrian town of Keswick. There are several islands within the lake, on one stand the National Trust property Derwent Island House. This intriguing house, is surrounded by mature wooded gardens and well hidden from the mainland. It reflects a variety of classical styles and has stunning views across the lake to the Lakeland fells.
